Fly-Fishing cake

This was a lovely cake to imagine and then make. It is a rich chocolate cake with a beautifully trout-pink strawberry buttercream. Just gorgeous.
What a lucky dad on hos 70th birthday!

Radiation therapy cake

Creating this cake has been an interesting experience. We often don't think of those who deal with people in their darkest hour. Yet these individuals serve us when we are most in need, and what's more is that they do it smiling and with compassion.
Thank you to all nurses, but here specifically, thank you to a radiation oncology nurse.

Li'l Explorers Teacher appreciation week

I loved this project where I was given a great deal of creative freedom. These are the cakes I thrive on. What a fun project!

Topsy Turvy Teenagers

This topsy turvy strawberry sponge cake was a wonderful challenge and great fun to make. It had a subtly strawberry frosting to a company the strawberry preserve between layers.
I also decorated some gluten-free cupcakes provided for a guest.
As an added bonus it was to usher a very dear friend into teenager-hood. Happy birthday darling!

Christmas Tree

This tree is 76cm high and made with 8 layers of cake.
It was a wonderful challenge to create a cake this size in a short amount of time.

It also won 2nd place at a local Christmas Tree festival only being beaten by an actual tree from our lovely Lower school.

Merry Christmas

Frozen Elsa cake

I have been itching to make this cake since I saw the film and jumped at the chance when it arose.
I made subtly flavoured peppermint boiled sweets to use as the shards and filled the vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and buttercream.
Such a great adventure!

Tinkerbell

I had so much fun making this Tinkerbelle cake! The look on my precious client Isabella's face was worth every second.
